Plot

Jal is set in Rann of Kutch and revolves around the life of a young man ‘Bakka’, an over-confident person, who has the special ability to find water in desserts. In the course of time, few Russians and ecologists arrive in Rann of Kutch to save the life of Flamingos, who was dying out of scarcity of water. They bring in machinery which becomes far more effective than manual work of Bakka.

The ecologist goes to Bakka for help. Bakka becomes the hero of the village as he helps to save the life of Flamingos. But why only the flamingos? Are those Flamingos much more important than humans? Did the ecologist let Bakka use the machinery to save the life of villagers?

Star performances

Finding any flaws in the actors' acting skills is difficult. Despite the fact that the actors must have worked in difficult situations, all the actors did their job well.

Analysis

It may not be an excellent movie, but it has a perfect concept. The movie revolves around the theme of human nature like jealousy, greed, hunger and thirst. The movie centers on lives of rural people and their problems. The trailer of Jal is enough to keep you hooked on it. The songs in this movie are unique and composed by singer Sonu Nigam.

What's there?

The movie has perfect cinematography and beautiful soundtrack.
The movie even conveys a good message to the society and preaches us the importance of water as well as the struggle for life.
The direction of the film is good; it managed to film the entire Rann of Kutch beautifully.

What's not there?

The movie's narrating style is a bit shabby.
There are tiny potholes.
Even the story is bit predictable and camouflage.

Verdict.

This movie is surely a one-time watch. It has a solid impact, and the concept is good. The highlight of the issue of scarcity of water is tremendous.
