CAST & CREW
Not sure to amaze you but the tale of Ayushmann Khurrana fulfilling the dream of Mithun Chakraborty is a tranquil story. A well-intentioned but starchy cinematic fleshing out of an ambiguous footnote in aviation history
Plot: The story set during the British era introduces Ayushmann Khurrna, a happy-go-lucky drop out loses his heart to a dancer Pallavi Sharda. This annoys his father, and ultimately Ayushmann is thrown out of the house. Not to his expectation, he bumps into a scientist Mithun Chakraborty. On seeing Ayushmann’s keen interest in the Vedas, the scientist reveals his secrets to him of building a flying machine. But Ayshmann does not accept the offer to work with him. Meanwhile, his love interest moves to another city, and he is left all dejected. He eventually says yes to Mithun’s offer. With many hurdles in their way, the two are almost successful in building the machine. But when Ayushmann tells Pallavi about the secret, the scientist is heartbroken and passes away. This leaves the young man in utter guilt, and he is again determined to successfully fulfill his mentor’s dream. Unfortunately, he gets arrested by the cops. Such unfavorable happenings turn out to be a vice or virtue is what you will discover once you watch the movie.
Analysis: Indeed, a novel idea that could not catch the flying inclination. Emerging as a very inspiring story, it fails to evoke emotions in us. Star Performance Ayushmann Khurana is unsuccessful to keep the audience cheerful for 157 minutes as his charisma just fails to work all due to the poor writing script.PallaviSharda is far better than her debut ‘besharam’ performance. Mithun Chakraborty supports the film, and Naman Jain delivers a splendid performance.
