Plot

Rani is a fan of crime novels. She is married to Rishu. Rani and Rishu have contrast characters. Neel, Rishu’s cousin, visits them, and he stays with them for a few days. Unexpectedly, Rishu gets killed, and Rani is accused. The investigation starts, and many unexpected truths come out. Who is the real murderer? Is that Rani or Neel? What’s the motive behind the murder? The rest of the story deals with these questions.

Star Performance

Taapsee has done her best, once again. This is yet another different pick by Taapsee. Her expressions are fantabulous, and she fit in the shoes of Rani perfectly. Harshvardhan Rane is good in his limited role.

Analysis

Although there are many films related to the whodunit pattern, this one is different. The writer and the director should be appreciated for dealing with a different story pattern. The narration is good, and the characters are neatly depicted. Though there are different characters, the writing makes them get a better shape. In that sense, we should appreciate Kanika. The film has a story with a different love story, desires, and some motives. Taapsee’s expressions and body language are the main things to be appreciated in the film. The dialogues gels well with the story. The BGM and the cinematography are good.
