Plot
Mithali, who was born in Hyderabad to a Tamil family, is an excellent Bharatanatyam dancer. She got interested in cricket when she was young, and it was her friend, who inspired her. All efforts Mithali took to establish herself as a cricketer, and all hurdles she faced are shown in the film.
Star Performance
Taapsee has once done a great job. She reflected Mithali’s feelings, but not imitate her. In fact, this is the biggest plus. The rest of the stars did their best.
Analysis
As it is a biographical movie, the team has to collect a lot of things about the cricketer and the surroundings. The cricket scenes had been shot well. Though a couple of scenes remind us of

starrer Chak De India, Shabaash Mithu has its uniqueness. Yet, the screenplay should have been better. The editing should have been a bit crisper so that the audience wouldn’t lose their patience while watching a biopic. The songs and music are good. The cinematography is pretty decent. The film is technically sound, and the production values are good.
