However, Ranjan Chandel dispelled the rumors that he quit the film over reshooting parts of the movie due to censor issues. According to him, there were certain scenes where he did not agree with the approach of the makers, especially when it came to post production, and he decided to quit the movie.

Initially, the film was to release during the month of May. However, due to objection over certain scenes by the Censor Board, the film was postponed. Recently, news came out that the film would release on 2nd August. However, due to post production delays, the film will now be releasing in the month of either September or October.
