Rajat Poddar is a Bollywood Art Director, who is known for his inventive and ingenious visuals in Movies. He has also been the Production Designer for more than twenty flicks. Rajat started his stint in the field of Cinema, in the year 2003, through the thriller film Saaya starring John Abraham.

He has worked with many famous Directors and Actors such as Anurag Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Soha Ali Khan, Irrfan Khan and so on. No Problem (2010), Shaapit: The Cursed (2010), Awarapan (2007), Murder (2004) are some of the movies in which Rajat was the Art Director. Rajat Poddar was the man behind the beautiful visuals in the critically acclaimed film Barfi, which released in the year 2012.

Few other films to his credit as a Production Designer are Gunday (2014), Ready (2011), Murder 2 (2011), Kites (2010). He covered the beauty of Goa, the party city through the hit film, Aashiqui 2. Rajat Poddar has bagged two Awards for his work in the movie Barfi. He won the Zee Cine Awards and the Filmfare Award, for the year 2013. Rajat’s latest film was Pyaar Ka Punchnama, in the year 2015. He has been signed up for two movies that are scheduled to be released in the year 2016. His upcoming films are Jagga Jasoos with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead and Baaghi: A Rebel For Love.

Nitin Desai is a notable art director and production designer in Bollywood; he is also a TV and Film producer. He was born in Mulund, Mumbai, Maharashtra. He did his schooling from Wamanrao Muranjan High School, Mulund. He learned photography from L S Raheja School of Arts and J J School of Arts. After which he made his entry into films. Nitin started his career by assisting art director Nitish Roy for the TV serial, Tamas (1987); he was the fourth assistant to Roy. Before joining Roy, he went to Mumbai’s Film City Studios, where he switched to 3D world of art direction from 2D format of still photography. He further worked for TV series as ‘Kabir’ and ‘Chanakya’. Nitin made his debut in the films by 'Adhikari Brothers’ ‘Bhookamp’ (1993). He was recognized by the 1994 film ‘1942: A Love Story’ by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Further he did Bollywood films as ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum’ (1995), ‘Vijeta’ (1995), ‘Khamoshi: The musical’ (1996) and many more. Nitin is mainly known for the art direction and set designing of TV show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and the superhit films as ‘Lagaan’ (2001), Devdas (2002) and ‘Jodha Akbar’ (2008). He has been honored with National Film Award for Best Art Direction for four films, namely, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ (1999), ‘Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar’ (1999), ‘Lagaan’ (2001) and ‘Devdas’ (2002). Also Filmfare Best Art Direction Award for ‘1942: A Love Story’, ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Devdas’. For the film ‘Jodha Akbar’ he has received IIFA Best Art Direction Award and also Screen Awards for Best Art Direction for six films. In 2009, he received Best Art Direction Award from Maharashtra State Film Awards for the film ‘Harishchandrachi Factory’. Nitin’s work has been noticed internationally also through the films ‘Salaam Bombay!’, ‘Amok’ (a French film), ‘Such a long journey’ and ‘Holy Smoke’ (Canadian films) and for Slumdog Millionaire for which he designed two sets; one of Kaun Banega Crorepati scene and other interior set of Taj Mahal. Nitin started his production house; under which he produced his first feature film ‘Desh Devi Maa Ashapura’ in 2003. Later in 2005, he opened the studio by the name ND Studios at Karjat, which is spread over 52 acres. The 50 per cent stakes were bought in this studio by Reliance Entertainment for Rs. 1.50 bn. Then he produced Marathi hit serial ‘Raja Shivchhatrapati’. He went on to produce many TV serials and film thereon.

He passionately narrates that advertising was always his first love and he couldn’t have done anything else but advertising. Although his start with political advertising began 3 years after his venture was established, he had clients from reputed Indian companies already. He says political advertising is like brand advertising for him, as both involves attention of people. Back in 2012 he was a major part of the election campaign in Punjab. He trusts his ability to try different and unique methods to gauge the attention of the mass. His profession is to evaluate a particular brand and provide them an integrated marketing platform for effective communication. This advertising agency till date has satisfied all their clients in all possible ways. He was featured in various business magazines and newspapers for his fantastic output at work. He introduced this venture in 2004. He is currently the Managing Director at Brand Curry. It was in 2009, that he started working for Lok Sabha elections. Since then, his popularity and his quality of work have been noticed and demanded by many clients for their firms. He is a Literature graduate from Kolkata, his native place. Before the Brand Curry, he was the Vice-president at Ogilvy and Mather for 4 years. He likes to spend time with his family and to travel. He shifted to Bangalore, Mumbai and then Hyderabad in the Mid 90’s. And he has travelled to places like UK, Italy, Netherland, Belgium, Austria, China and Thailand. He currently stays in Gurgaon city and works from there on a daily basis
