Plot:
Himesh Reshammiya (Sameer) works as a scriptwriter for Indian films and shares the workspace with his girlfriend, Purbi Joshi (Shikha). Purbi is an over-possessive and capricious girl, who keeps suspecting him of every little detail. When the girlfriend leaves for a vacation to Indore for a fortnight, Himesh is exhilarated with a sense of liberation and hence, deliberately parties and hits on girls at Marine Drive. In the intervening phase, the sister of the company's CEO joins the company where Sameer works, and the two hit it off instantly, and grow close overtime. Sameer begins to ignore Shikha's phone calls. Getting vexed up, Shikha arrives back home only to find how close Sameer and Sanjana have gotten within 15 days. She gets envious of the bond that they share, causing an argument with Sameer, and the two break up. Soon, Himesh’s boss puts forth a marriage proposal before him – he wants Sameer and Sanjana to tie the knot. Sameer accepts the proposal (yes, pretty cruel). Purbi is agitated, leaves the job, and applies in another firm.
What happens next? Does Himesh marry Sonal? Or does he revert back to Purbi? Does Shikha keep mum or will she brew evil plans? Watch the film to find out.
Analysis:
If and only if, you are an ardent fan of Himesh Reshammiya, will you like this movie. The entire movie encompasses of self-divulgence, predictable storyline, slapstick comedy, and very few logical scenes. It is a story that will guide you through the veracity of a typical “jealous” girlfriend, which Purbi Joshi pulls off without vagueness. ‘Damadamm!’ has pretty good soundtracks, as one of its uphill. All in all, debut director Swati Waghmare’s film is a reasonably lively watch.
Star Performances:
Purbi Joshi’s acting is what steals the show. She is impeccable with her emotions and dialogues. Himesh Reshammiya has been eloquent with his acting and the music compositions. Sonal Sehgal Sonal Sehgal is an Indian performer who appeared o >> Read More... takes a back seat in terms of performance, but has given the role of her character justice in her own terms. Himesh’s songs are catchy, but off beat with the lyrics, as a specific track has 'Mango', 'Tango', and 'Apple' in it; and the context being that he misses someone. The theory is actually well thought out, and one can, more or less, associate to the three roles in the movie.

1. The dialogues are conversational - you may be reminded of similar repartee with friends or tiffs you might have had yourself.
2. Purbi Joshi’s acting skills.
3. Music of Himesh Reshammiya, Sameer, and Sachin Gupta’s collaboration; are sure to be stuck in your head.

1. Patriarchal script, screenplay, and delivery.
2. The predictable storyline deprives you of good content.
3. Himesh Reshammiya could have toned down his self-obsessive dialogues, for a better flow in this movie.
