The film professes to be a ‘romance thriller’ going by the standardized jargons that are being used nowadays to categorise films into different genres.

“ Bloody Isshq Click to look into! >> Read More... ”, however, has a combination of multiple romances, punctuated with complicated medical infirmities, which also seem to dictate the directions the romances head for.

Plot:

The story progresses basically on two different fronts, initially seemingly unlinked to each other, and revolves around the central character of Nirvaan Shroff, (portrayed by newcomer Akash Singh Bio coming soon... >> Read More... ), who we are given to believe is a singer of some degree of popularity.

However, it is not his singing ability but more of his bravado and life-saving skills especially with damsels in distress that seem to gain prominence in the scheme of things presented in the plot. Our hero ends up saving Natasha, the bold and arrogant heiress of a large hotel chain, enacted by another newcomer, Tripta Parashar.

For once, the haughty lady gets bowled by the winning charms of Nirvaan more than the fact that he had saved her. But Nirvaan is unwilling to play ball with her, till the plot manages to provoke her through one of her friends and bet her enticing powers on her benefactor.

This leads the story to the other henceforth unrevealed sub plot that covers the private life of Nirvaan and that of his safely tucked away wife Radhika, who for some unexplained reasons prefers to stay in Pattaya.

She suffers from a bizarre syndrome due to a hole in her heart and is supposed to be incapable of ‘rising to the occasion’ while trying to have sex with Nirvaan. After several aborted attempts, Nirvaan realises that all she needs a new heart to make her sexually compatible.

Nirvaan grabs the opportunity with both hands when he comes to know that Natasha of all people, hounding him so long with her seduction plans, is the one whose heart has to be literally stolen, to replace that of his wife, Radhika’s! The plot moves on from here…

The biggest stumbling blocks for films of this nature are the huge gaps in credibility and the immature way in which convoluted medical theories are sought to be dished out through the ill conceived script. Armed with a bevy of rank newcomers, including the producer’s son as the hero, the overall effect seems even more amateurish, and for director Arup Dutta Arup Dutta is an Indian film director who directs >> Read More... , is too big a hurdle to overcome.

On the technical side the film seems to have fared better, although it is too little to sustain the basic flaws in the conception of the plot itself. While Ashok Bhadra’s music track sounds pleasant on the ears, on more involved hearing one can trace the distinct similarities with earlier more famous hits.

Verdict:

For those who like the gloss and combination of modern gaudiness associated with picturesque locales and skimpily clad ladies trying to outdo each other is their seductive powers, this could be a good way to spend idle time.
