Analysis
Atithi Bhooto Bhava is a comedy at heart but it fails to come across as such with a poorly executed plotline that toes the line between emotional and humorous. The humor itself, for starters, is irrevocably flawed. The movie makes use of various gags and hijinks to evoke laughter but fails to do so, instead coming across as downright cringe at times. The plot covers some pretty serious issues such as casteism, mixing it with tropes like doomed romance and rebirth that make you feel like you should keep watching just in case it turns out to be good. The cast performances are average at best, but Siddique and Abhiram Radhakrishnan Abhiram Radhakrishnan is an Indian actor. Abhiram >> Read More... , who are supporting characters, manage to deliver an impressive performance. There’s little to no female representation, the character development is subpar and the few laughs this movie elicits aren’t worth the entire watch. Perhaps the only exciting thing about Atithi Bhooto Bhava is Jackie Shroff as the ghost in the film.

Verdict
Atithi Bhooto Bhava is an average slapstick comedy that lacks the amusing and sharply executed wit that is required to make these comedies work. Despite the commendable performances by some of the cast, the movie fails to leave a lasting impression on it’s viewers, positive or otherwise. If you’re looking to pass some time watching any flick with any semblance of comedy, you might like giving this film a try.
