The American movie World War Z hit the screens in 2013. The movie is about an apocalypse, which leaves a trail of destruction. Marc Forster has directed the movie. The movie draws inspiration from a novel that was released in 2006. The novel has the same name as the movie. Actor Brad Pitt has done the role of Gerry Lane in the movie. He does the role of a retired UN investigator in the movie.

Plot: Gerry Lane and his family seem to lead a very happy life. As a twist in the movie, an unknown virus spreads through the city. The nature of the infection spread by the virus is such that the population turns into morons without any mind. The movie has a plenty of zombies making an appearance in it. The nature of the zombies is such that they infect each other through just a bite. The government and its team are trying their level best to know the source of the virus which is making humans turn into zombies. The traffic in the city is thrown haywire. At that juncture, Gerry Lane senses something amiss. Gerry Lane manages to escape from the chaotic situation. Now, Gerry Lane has to track down the virus before the whole humanity is wiped out. He takes a journey across the globe to find a solution to the spreading pandemic. On the way, he has to brave many odds and achieve his goal.

Brad Pitt has made a charming appearance in the movie that again deals with a disaster of a kind. The movie has had mixed review from critics. The movie’s script is not laudable, but the performances by the actors add to some credibility in the movie. Brad Pitt and a huge cast of the movie makes it worth watching. There are many scenes in the flick that are unbelievable and defy logic. The movie’s climax does not seem convincing enough.

Verdict: Overlooking the setbacks in the script and unbelievable scenes in it, the movie is a way to kill time during the weekend.
