With Matthias Schweighofer, Kaya Yanar, Cindy aus Marzahn, Dieter Hallervorden, and Aylin Tezel doing their jobs ably as voice over artists Robinson Crusoe is a film dedicated to kids to enjoy and have fun watching the animals in the movie.

Plot:

Mak is a parrot having lovely time in an island with a chameleon Carmello and a goat Scrubby. However, their lives are affected when Robinson Crusoe, who is the only survivor of an impaired ship, comes to the island. But slowly they understand Robinson Crusoe and befriend him. How all of them fight against two wicked cats who plan to get control of their beautiful paradise, forms the rest of the story.

Star Performances

Crusoe (Yuri Lowenthal) is the human in the movie with a unique role while the others play the role of wildlife characters. The voice-over is appreciable and forms the major highlight of the movie.

Analysis:

The wildlife of colourful creatures is rendered with picturesque beauty. The action is beautifully executed and the 3D effects are judiciously used. The animals all speak English among them, while they don’t understand the behavior of Crusoe.

What is there?

  1. Voice has played a significant role in the movie.
  2. Animation is commendable.
  3. Some of the action scenes are done in a stunning manner.

What’s not there?

  1. The movie has no love concept.
  2. The movie doesn’t do justice to the classic Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe.
  3. The movie is devoid of the extra flavor that would be appreciated by parents.
  4. The jokes sometimes are silly.

Verdict:

The movie is a one-time watch for kids. However, it won’t stay in their minds for too long.
