Plot
Amidst the turmoil of the Katanga crisis, Irish Commandant Pat Quinlan leads his outnumbered infantry company in a heroic defense against Katangese and mercenary forces at Jadotville. Despite facing overwhelming odds, they bravely withstand multiple attacks, earning admiration for their courage and resilience. However, they encountered political suppression of the truth until their eventual dismissal in 2005.
Star Performance
Jamie Dornan, who has made a career out of playing psychopaths, has excelled in his role. The actor skillfully portrays true leadership skills and determination. The cast also gives a mind-blowing performance in a gripping tale of bravery and sacrifice.
Analysis
An Irish commander and his battalion of 150 men withstand a siege by 3,000 Congolese troops led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining corporations. The actors played their roles outstandingly well. The scenery in the movie was very well done and accurately portrayed what had happened there.
