Plot

Dr. Faraday is going to Hundreds Hall. He is being called by Roderick. He is called to aid the maid called Betty. In the hall, Dr. Faraday meets Caroline. When he arrives there, he realizes that the maid is faking her illness because she wants to go back to her home. In World War II, Roderick's face was burnt, and he could not walk properly. Caroline and Faraday meet Ayrees. Faraday tells Ayrees that his mother was also a maid at their hall ten years ago. In Faraday’s childhood, he was so impressed with the Hundreds Hall. Faraday tells Caroline that he will help Roderick to treat his leg. Faraday is getting close with Ayrees family, and he also started liking Caroline. Ayrees's family is not financially good. They are slowly losing all their properties. Caroline invites Faraday to a party, and he accepts it. At the party, Roderick refuses to join the party. Faraday asks him for a reason, then Roderick tells him that he is getting a feeling that something wrong might happen. Faraday tells him to ignore this and come and join the party. Caroline's Dog injured a girl very badly. Faraday treats the girl, but all the guests are gone. While leaving, Roderick tells Faraday that he already inform. What is happening in Hundreds Hall? Why did the dog out of nowhere injure the girl? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Domhnall Gleeson did an incredible performance in the film. His journey to know the secret of Hundreds Hall was excellent. His detailing of the character was outstanding. His acting and dialogue delivery was perfect. One would love him after watching this movie. That much impact he made in the whole film. Ruth Wilson did a fantastic performance in the movie. Her suspicious and suspenseful look was good. She shows how a normal girl reacts when there is no one to help. Her acting was factual and natural. Will Poulter did a remarkable performance in the film. His acting and dialogue delivery was awesome and brilliant. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.

Analysis

The film's storyline is great, thrilling, terrifying, horror, and suspenseful —the film focus on the central theme of mystery that the Hundreds Hall is holding. The movie is based on the novel called The Little Stranger by Sarah Walters.  The suspense and mystery nature of the film is maintained from the start till the end. The storyline in the film was interesting.  The direction, cinematography, and costume design were perfect in the film. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellent. The film is an open-ended film.
