Mount Noble High is a popular boarding school. Arjun and Baadal, the senior, rule the juniors, even though the teachers had a close watch. Murali, the drama teacher, picks Shay to play in the Merchant of Venice drama as Bassanio. The drama is supposed to be staged on the 50th Founder’s Day. Baadal, the son of the cinema star, thinks that he is better to do the role than Shay. Baadal plans to make Shay quit doing the role. After a lot of confusions, Murali steps in to sort out the issues. What happened next? Watch the film in theaters!
Kunal Kapoor is a perfect fit for his drama teacher role. Similarly, the students, played by Hardik Thakkar, Shaan Grover, Muskaan Jaferi, Ali Haji and Mohommad Ali Mir, played their part, well. Soni Razdan is neat in the given role even though she appeared in very few scenes.
Although there are a lot of campus films shot with different stories in different perceptions, this is a bit different. The film speaks about almost all the possible issues in the school, especially in residential school. Students’ mindset and behavior are shown well. If the screenplay had been quite crisper, the film would have been impressive, a bit.
What’s Not There?
This is yet another campus story that shows bullying. If the screenplay is better, then the film would have reached a wide range of audiences.
