An action- thriller film of 2011, directed by Gary McKendry Born in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, Gary McKendr >> Read More... , is based on the novel of the title, “The Feather Men (1991)”. This film shows a killer-for–hire being forced into action, whose mission is to kill three members of the Elite Air Service of Britain, responsible for his son’s death.

Plot-

Four men- Danny Bryce ( Jason Statham “Dominick Toretto, you don’t know me…you’re about >> Read More... ), Hunter ( Robert De Niro A legendary actor and one of the most influential >> Read More... ), Davies ( Dominic Purcell The full name of Dominic Purcell is Dominic Haakon >> Read More... ), and Meier (Aden Young) are in Mexico to kill a man. Danny unknowingly kills him in front of his young child.

One year after this incident, Danny summons Oman and asks where his partner, Hunter, is being held captive. He learns that Hunter accepted a deal of six million dollars, but failed to accomplish it. Therefore, if Danny doesn’t complete this mission, they will kill Hunter.

Danny, along with his other partner Meier, enter into the house of their first target, Steven Harris. They took his confession and plan to kill him in the bathroom. Meanwhile, Harris’ girlfriend arrives, knocking on the door. They were waiting for her to leave, so when that finally happened, they completed the task.

Davies, another partner, recovers the second target and does the same thing with him. They reach their third target, who is Simon McCann. Meier successfully kills McCann.

Danny returns to Oman and gives the recorded confession to Shiekh, which he has faked. Danny goes back to Australia to meet his childhood friend, Annie (Yvonne). However, again he receives a call from Shiekh for the last person. Danny sends Annie to France with Hunter.

In Paris, Annie gets into trouble, as henchmen and agents are trying to kidnap her. Knowing that Annie belongs to Danny, Hunter saves her life.

Danny and Hunter head to Oman, but Logan arrives there first, and reveals the truth in front of Sheikh about the pictures being fake. Danny and Hunter face Logan and tell him; he can keep the money and start a new life.

Analysis-

As a thriller film, it doesn’t have anything that can thrill anyone. There are many subplots in the film that lead nowhere, as the scene of a secret group is not clear, and in fact, that is the least required thing in the movie.

Star Performance-

Every character performs average; Statham plays his usual stone-cold-self. Casts in the supporting role did a fair job.

What’s there-

This movie has the continuous thrill, drama, and action, which is the only factor that kept audiences in the theater.

What’s not there-

A tight plot needed as some sequences didn’t make sense at all.

Verdict-

It’s a one-time watch movie, entertaining, and thrilling.
