Plot:
This movie is filmed with the backdrop of the Bosnian War. Danijel is a soldier who fights for the Serbs. They bring a girl captive named Ajla for serfdom and sexual exploitation. Danijel is the overseer of the camp where the prisoners are held.
Coincidently, Danijel and Ajla know each other from the past when they both had a kind of spark between the two. For this reason, Danijel becomes protective of Ajla but their relationship is seen as a one that is rather ambiguous. They are entitled to a very uncertain and arbitrary relationship due to the growing tensions and conflicts in the lives of the two. This movie is written as well as directed by

Angelina is deeply connected with various humanitarian causes, and this probably is the reason the film she did her directorial debut with is majorly based on the violation of human rights like rapes, genocide, etc.
Much on the angles of the camera and its trick. She doesn’t make the movie by fancy camera tricks but does a serious working on the art of narrating the story of the movie. The scenario of the Bosnian war is shown in a very compassionate voice but takes a tough look too. The performances of actors in the movie are well done and are very soulfully played out.
Verdict:
This movie is a celebration of a very confident and respectable filmmaking which should be given at least one watch.
