Frank is inspired by a true story and manages to deliver a wonderful story line and experience to the audience.
PLOT
The convergence or combination of insanity and creativity have long been a great material for fiction and story. Many of the world’s greatest musicians have dealt with problems of mental illness. This movie Frank is about a guy who wears an expressionless mask or fake head!
One of the greatest questions of humanity is whether a person can be both brilliant and normal. Can you be mentally disturbed and creative at the same time?
All these questions, even though not overly highlighted in the movie, have been precisely treated. The movie does an amazing job at delivering that experience.
STAR PERFORMANCESÂ
This movie has an amazing cast. The performances in the movie are excellent. Jon (Gleeson), Clara (Maggie), Frank (Maggi) are some special mentions.
ANALYSISÂ
The movie revolves around Frank, who is disarmingly honest. He cannot do anything without being covered in some expressionless figurehead. Even though Jon tries to look up at Frank’s problems, there is not much of response. It is basically in the last third of the movie that the story really starts to grow and show character. The movie is complex, but it is a real mediation of authenticity of mental illness and genius.This what the movie is all about! Frank does a commendable job in that department!
