Gabriella Wilde does Jade Butterfield, Alex Pettyfer does David Elliot, and Robert Patrick does the role of David’s father. Actor Bruce Greenwood is Jade’s father.
Plot: The 1979 novel has been brought to life on screen, and the movie happens to be a lustrous romantic tragedy. Jade and David graduate from high-school. David has a trouble-torn past, and he has to eke out a living by going for work. His father is a mechanic who leads a simple life. Jade is a protected child with a lot of privileges. She falls in love with David, and like every other romance, obstacles cover their way. David’s father cautions him to stay away from Jade. And, Jade’s father does not approve her relationship with David. Bruce Greenwood does a cardiologist who can treat heart conditions well but does not make out the hearts of lovers. The movie sticks to a predictable formula and seems to be a stereotyped romance. But the lead romantic characters add appeal to the movie. The movie is a bittersweet version of trouble-torn romance. Although the movie has drawn inspiration from a novel, there is the least similarity with the novel that is very good. The movie Endless Love is a showy collection of stereotypes. The movie has not come out the way expected by the readers of the original novel. But, camera work and music are commendable. In fact, the movie is not as endless as the romance in it.
Verdict:Â The audiences would rush out of the theaters even before the eternal romance completes on screen.
