Analysis
It is a film that wisely avoids labeling the true nature of its central relationship because it sees that bond as something unique to these two characters, those who meet by chance and have no idea what will come of that fateful connection. The director Luca Guadagnino and the cinematographer Sayombhu Mukdeeprom used the lens to frame each scene with care and consideration, making the most of every location and capturing the alienation, intimacy, and joy. The movie takes us to the breathtaking scenery of Northern Italy and the mesmerizing emotional landscape of first love. The film contains many moving and insightful observations about life, love, and acceptance. The portrayal of Elio and Oliver's relationship as tender, fragile, and new is in vivid detail. It also feels powerful. It is not just a summer romance; it's the start of unforgettable love.
