Plot

ABCs of Death 2 is different than most films. This film consists of 26 shorts which last for around 5 minutes each and all are based on the theme of death. Each short has a tale of how one meets their death and each is created by 1 of 26 directors. These tales each talk about the different ways to finally meet death and each theme in each short is inspired by each letter of the English alphabet. A involves a hit-man in its story. B is about a television presenter who discovers the shocking effects of a particular toxin on badgers, in C the story questions and criticizes capital punishment, and that’s how it continues with the rest of the shorts, each of which based on the theme of death.

Star Performance

Eric Jacobus put up a flawless act. Christopher Jelf’s acting was also good.

Analysis

ABCs of Death 2 is superior in quality compared to the first movie, and not overloaded with bizarre, uncomfortable scenes. The balance between horror and fun is perfect. The creepy, gory scenes leave us feeling unsettled. The drawback however, is that this second movie has shorts that are too safe and lack creativity and free-thinking in its stories, something that the first movie had. The worst alphabets in the movie were probably G, H, P and R. They felt like a waste of time. Whereas the most enjoyable ones were E, J, M, V, and the last, and best of all, was Z. The twist in the plot of Z was impressive and does a good job in satisfying our horror cravings.
