Nearly 1000+ people were evacuated around 5 km radius from the plant. Damodar Goutam Sawang, the Andhra Pradesh DGP, stated that the situation is under control, as of now. He also stated that nearly 800 people are admitted to the hospital and many have been discharged. AP Police had issued the preventive measures to be followed. They had asked people to drink more water. They asked the people to use wet cloth as a mask, even though they are at home. AP Police suggest washing the eyes with water if they get irritation. Similarly, they have asked them to wash the skin with soap. People are suggested to eat Banana and Jaggery to neutralize the gas effect.
