Savitri Ganesh’s Biopic Is Getting Ready!

The legendary actresses “Savitri” had been lauded for her versatility. Born in Andhra Pradesh, the actress showed her talents in almost all the south Indian movies. Now, director Nag Ashwin, the helmer of “Yevade Subramanyam” is gearing up with the biopic of Savitri Ma. The biopic is titled as “Mahanadi.” Nag Ashwin has decided to make it big, unlike other biopics. Ashwin says, “Although the cinema industry has been seeing lots and lots of actresses for the past eight decades, no one had clinched the title, “Mahanadi.” Till now, the title is reserved only for Savitri. Savitri started her acting career in 1950 when she was just 14. Her bilingual film “Missamma” is still loved by many. Her Tamil movies, “Pasamalar” with Sivaji Ganesan will make the eyes wet. “Maya Bazaar,” “Pennin Perumai” and “Gundamma Katha” are some of her notable movies in Tamil and Telugu.
