While shooting the film, he underwent a coronavirus test and was reported positive for the virus. So, the shooting was stopped abruptly. Later, the director once again tested for the virus and now, the result turned negative. So, Gunasekhar decided to resume the shooting. He posted on his Twitter page, “Hi Happy Ugadi to you all Yesterday I had a false positive COVID test during a routine testing activity that we do on sets upon further testing and inspection it was confirmed by doctors that I DO NOT have COVID and so I’d be resuming the shoot with all precautions in place.”
