Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati are jointly bankrolling this movie, which is based on one of the earliest superstars of Tamilian cinema, MK Thyagraja Bhagavathar.

Daggubati mentioned why he cast Dulquer in the lead role, explicitly stating that he wouldn’t have made this movie without him. Rana knew the moment he heard the story that Dulquer would be the best fit for such an intense role.

Rana Daggubati has not been seen in a Telugu movie since 2022, although he appeared in a cameo role in the espionage drama Spy. He  was last seen in the Tamil movie Vettaiyan, which turned out to be a  box office dud.

Dulquer Salmaan on the other hand is experimenting with various genres, while enjoying his stint in Telugu cinema.
