‘Game Changer’ Opts For Early OTT Release!

After a disappointing run at the box office, the makers of ‘Game Changer’ have opted for an early OTT release.

According to the recent reports, the social drama by S Shankar will be streaming on the Amazon Prime Video during the Valentine’s week. This was S. Shankar’s debut movie in the Telugu industry.

The movie was made on a whopping budget of 450 crores, and released on the occasion of Sankranthi, making it a direct clash with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Daaku Maharaaj’ and Daggubati Venkatesh’s ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’.

However, the masses were not impressed at all with the content of the movie. To make matters worse, the producers were accused of indulging in corporate bookings in order to make the movie more successful. Eventually the movie collected 178 crores worldwide, making it a complete washout. The movie was not only a second consecutive disaster for Ram Charan, but also S Shankar, who had previously seen his classic, ‘Indian 2’, sink at the box office without a trace.
