Yaakkai To Hit The Screens This February!

“Yaakkai” is the upcoming film scripted and directed by Kuzhandai Velappan. The film features Krishna Kulasekaran in the lead role.

Swathi Reddy of Subrahmanyapuram fame pairs him in the flick. Prakash Raj plays a pivotal role. Besides these leading artists, the film has “Joker” fame Guru Somasundaram, “M. S. Bhaskar,” Radha Ravi and “Singampuli” in the supporting roles.

Muthukumaran produces the film under the banner Prim Pictures. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the tunes and the background score.

Sathya Ponmar handles the camera. The film was initially titled as Idhayam. As they faced a title rights issue with the makers of the 1991 film featured “Murali,” Kuzhandai renamed the title to Yaakkai.

The film is completely wrapped up and will be released this month.
