Seeman, the “Nam Tamizhar” party President was inquired about the Name change ideas to the South Indian Film Artists Association, by Rajini and Kamal. He extended his warm support to Rajini, who wished to change the name as “Tamilnadu Artists Association”; but he opposes the idea of Kamal Haasan’s “Indian Artists Association”. 
 “I accolade Rajini Sir’s intention to change the name of the association with respect to the feelings of the Tamils. I thank him so much. I respect the view of Kamal Sir, too. But, if all the artists’ associations that function in other states change their name to the Indian Artists Association, I suggest our association change its name to the Universal Artists Association. In the same respect, if he strives hard to get the water resources from the Cauvery, Mullai Periyaru and Palaru to Tamilnadu, we will be happy. People who lead the artists association in all the other states are the natives of the respective states. Why should the Artists Association in Tamilnadu have a non-Tamil as the leader? What is wrong with renaming the South Indian Artists Association to Tamilnadu Artists Association? We are still living as the downgraded Tamils” utters Seeman!
