“Sarkar” has been receiving both positive and negative reviews from the politicians. When some of the opposition party people appreciate Sarkar and “Vijay,” the ruling party people are against it. The ADMK Minister CV Shanmugam stated that as the film has some scenes with a political purpose, after discussing, they would file a case on the actor and the producer. Already Minister Kadambur Raju and KP Anbazhagan had slammed the film for its content. Meanwhile, “Vaiko” stated that Vijay is a man with principles and he behaves well with everyone. It is not wrong to express the social reforming ideas through the films and the dramas and it is a usual one, said Vaiko.
