The upcoming fantasy-thriller film, Urumeen which was written and directed by the debutant,
, faces an issue with the censor board due to the film’s theatrical trailer. According to reports, the officials of the CBFC have questions on the tagline of the film which stated, “Revenge is always ultimate”. They are now asking Perumalsamy to remove it from the film’s trailer.
The director stated that the entire plot of Urumeen is about revenge so the tagline they used fits perfectly for the theme of the film. He asked why they have to remove it. Perumalsamy also added that they already explained the importance of the tagline they used, which just appears at the end of the film and fades after few seconds. He just included it so the viewers will understand what the film is all about. He said, if they remove it, they will have to start from scratch again. He even asked for the trailer’s UA certificate to carry the tagline and told them that if they allow the visual, they can mute the audio or just blur the visual and use an audio instead.
The regional board censor doesn’t want to make any comment about the issue when called.
