filed a complaint against the producer John Paul Raj, who produced Agni Devi and an FIR was filed. Bobby Simha, who played the lead role stated that he was cheated by the producer and he used a dupe and completed the film. He had also applied a petition in the court to stop the release of Agni Devi. But, the film released and now, the Tamilnadu Film Producers' Council people met the Commissioner and explained the situation.
