Rahul Gandhi Comments On BSNL And MTNL Merger!

The central government had decided to merge the Telecoms BSNL and MTNL, as MTNL had been running at a loss. Rahul tweeted, “Step 1: Merge Step 2: Mismanage Step 3: Show Mega Losses Step 4: Sell Cheap to Crony Capitalist #BsnlMtnlMerger.” The Telecom Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad stated that the government is not closing Telecom. As the government companies are facing a huge financial stress, to compensate it and make them strong, they merge it stated the Union Telecom Minister. He tweeted, “Govt of @narendramodi has offered a very generous financial assistance to revival BSNL and MTNL. Now I would like to urge the employees of both these PSUs to work hard and help Govt in making these organizations profitable: @rsprasad.”

It is stated that BSNL might have incurred the loss of Rs 14, 000 crores in 2018-2019. It is also reported that BSNL and MTNL are facing severe loss, since 2010.
