A passenger flight that started from Lahore with 99 passengers and 8 crew members had a rough landing! Flight PK-303 from Lahore crashed in a residential area in Karachi, before a minute of landing. The rescue operations are going on in the accident area in Jinnah Garden area near Model Colony, Malir. Many people on board were traveling to their hometown to celebrate Eid. Abdullah H Khan, the spokesperson of PIA stated that they got the last word from the pilot that he faces some technical issues. The entire nation is shocked to hear this tragedy.
The Pakistan PM tweeted, “Shocked & saddened by the PIA crash. Am in touch with PIA CEO Arshad Malik, who has left for Karachi & with the rescue & relief teams on ground as this is the priority right now. Immediate inquiry will be instituted. Prayers & condolences go to families of the deceased.”
The former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik posted on his Twitter, “In the midst of great suffering, we witness yet another devastating tragedy. This loss will continue to remind us the sanctity of human life & the many adversities we encounter. Thoughts & prayers for their families & loved ones. May ALMIGHTY bless them all eternal peace Ameen.”
