Nearly 70% of the coronavirus cases in Tamilnadu are in Chennai. Today, the reports stated that Tamilnadu has got 646 new cases and Chennai recorded 509 cases. Today, there were 9 deaths in Tamilnadu, due to the coronavirus infection and the total corona deaths in the state are 127. Nearly, 4, 31, 739 corona tests were done in Tamilnadu, so far and that includes 10, 289, which were done today. 611 people recovered today and made the total recovery number to 9342.
Today, Thiruvallur has 25 cases, Chengalpet has 22 cases, Kancheepuram has 13 cases, Thiruvannamalai recorded 6 cases, Cuddalore has 4 cases, Vellore has 3 cases, Madurai, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri recorded 2 cases each and Thirupathur, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari and Ranipet have one case each. Besides this, a few coronavirus positive cases are found while they crossed the check posts, airports and railway stations.
