New Resolution Passed By Distributor’s Association!

Chennai - Chengalpet Distributors Association passed a new resolution today. Their request is that the new Tamil movies should not be released on OTT platforms before 8 weeks of release and similarly, it should not be premiered on the satellite channels before 100 days of release. As the films are premiered on TVs before 100 days, it affects the theater shows. A couple of years back, “ 96 Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” which was running successfully for more than five weeks with full occupancy was telecasted on the satellite channel and shocked the theater owners and the actors.

As the satellite rights and digital rights are sold out before the release of the films, these things happen. As the distributors had passed some resolution regarding this, there might be some changes in the OTT and satellite releases. Let’s wait and watch!
