The director of the upcoming romantic drama film Munthirikaadu has cast several newcomers in the film and he divulged that he conducted a workshop a year before the actual shoot of the film.
Munthirikaadu, helmed by ' Kalanjiyam Kalanjiyam is a Tamil-language based lifestyle TV >> Read More... ', is a love story that is set in a village. He shared that everyone in the team including the hero, heroine and villains are newcomers, except for director Seeman. So they decided to have an audition and conduct a workshop before they shot the film. Every scene in the film was rehearsed during the workshop and though it was frantic, it made their jobs easier.
Munthirikaadu will star Pugazh, Subhapriya and Seeman. It is a love story that is set against the backdrop of a rural area and the story deals with the people living there. The film was shot in Pudukottai, Thanjavur and Andhra Pradesh. They have wrapped up more than 50% of the film and only the climax scenes are yet to be shot. The film will consist of eight villains who are all newbies and each one of them has the scope to perform. An AR Rahman student, AK Priyan, has scored the film’s music.
