The former Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan has been working in the University of Chicago as a professor. The latest information is that the International Monetary Fund has appointed him as one of the advisories in the 12-member group. The entire world had been suffering from economic setback due to coronavirus pandemic. Rajan will not only suggest measures only to things that are related to COVID19 but also assist the IMF in complex policies. When asked to Rajan, if he comes back to India, if he receives any call to support, he nodded Yes, immediately.
Besides Raghuram Rajan, the special group’s important leaders are former Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, Nigeria’s former finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Kristin Forbes, who works as a professor in Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Mark Malloch-Brown, the United Nations’ former deputy secretary general Mark Malloch-Brown.
