Anbazhagan was born in Thiruvarur in 1922. Anbazhagan had been in the politics right from his teens. Besides being a politician, he had been a Tamil poet too. Anbazhagan’s wife Santhakumari died in 2012. Anbazhagan’s health was unstable and he didn’t appear in public for a long time and his final appearance was on 19th December 2019, on his birthday. He had a multiple organ failure like Kalaignar. He breathed his last at Apollo Hospital in Chennai at 1:05 am, today. May his soul rest in peace!
