DMK General Secretary Prof Anbazhagan Passed Away!

Prof Anbazhagan, the General Secretary of the DMK party passed away today at his 97. He had been the General Secretary of the DMK party for the past 43 years. Anbazhagan was born in Thiruvarur in 1922. Anbazhagan had been in the politics right from his teens. Besides being a politician, he had been a Tamil poet too. Anbazhagan’s wife Santhakumari died in 2012. Anbazhagan’s health was unstable and he didn’t appear in public for a long time and his final appearance was on 19^th December 2019, on his birthday. He had a multiple organ failure like Kalaignar. He breathed his last at Apollo Hospital in Chennai at 1:05 am, today. May his soul rest in peace!
