Later, she started a movement called MGR Amma Deepa Peravai. At present, she is contesting in the RK Nagar by-poll. Deepa said that she would capture the ADMK party and the Twinleaf symbol. As per a source, recently, Deepa went to RK Nagar for campaigning. When a poor child was given to her, Deepa got the child and held him in her hands for few seconds and gave him back to the parents.
