Chennai Filmmakers Shine At The WorldFest

While Kanavu Vaariyam is a Tamil movie, Get Happy is an independent English movie.

Arun Chidambaram had created the film “Kanavu Vaariyam” and was awarded the prestigious “Platinum Remi” in the category of the Best Independent Theatrical Feature Film (Drama).The Platinum Remi requires a score between 95 and 100 from the jury and Arun, who also plays the lead in the film, is glad that his film could receive all the love and appreciation. He received the second honour “Silver Remi” for the Best Children’s song.

The film revolves around the issue of power cuts in Tamil Nadu, combined with a message of keenly following your dreams. Also, the honorary Governor of Texas has appreciated his efforts and invited the filmmaker to start some piece of work at Texas.

Manoj Annadurai, on the other hand, won another prestigious award, the Gold Remi, for the Best Romantic Comedy for his film Get Happy.
