,” the deputy General Secretary of ADMK is announced to be the contestant in RK Nagar by-poll. Dhinakaran stated that he accepted to contest the election, as his party people compelled him to contest. Meanwhile, a case has been filed in Madras High Court against the nomination of Dhinakaran in RK Nagar. Joseph from Chennai Arumbakkam filed a complaint that Dhinakaran should not be allowed to contest the election, as he is tainted in some cases. Joseph also requested the Court to alter the law that states that convicts should not participate in the election. He insists that not only the convicts but the tainted should not be allowed to contest the election.
