Following the failure of the talks with the government, the Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation Unions announced an indefinite bus strike. The TNSTC Unions held a meeting with MR Vijayabaskar, the Transport Minister of Tamilnadu at Pallavan House. The talks were about the pending wages and the Provident Funds. The TNSTC Unions announced an indefinite strike from tomorrow, 15th May 2017. It is heard that the buses would stop operating from midnight, today. Some sources say that districts like Madurai, Cuddalore and Dindigul had already started the strike. However, some unions are not participating in the bus strike. People confused to see two kinds of posters in Kancheepuram; the Anna Trade Union, which has the support of ADMK, says that they won’t participate in the strike. But the rest of the unions stated that they would start the strike with the support of the private bus services too. So, it is clear that Tamilnadu is in deep trouble.
