But, Vijay requested him to dub the film and released it in Telugu states to impress the Telugu audiences, said Murugadoss. If the film had been made in Telugu with Mahesh, it would have been a sensational hit. Although Vijay released his films in Telugu, he couldn’t catch the market. Vijay is strong in Kerala.
