, “Dirty Picture,’ the biopic of Silk Smitha and “Kahaani” directed by Sujoy Gosh. At present, the star is performing in the sequel to Kahaani. When asked about her childhood Onam, she says, “As I was born and brought up in Mumbai, I didn't have my Onam in Kerala but have the memories of the festival at our Mumbai home. It would be a working day in Mumbai during Onam. But I remember that my sister and I enjoyed the celebrations at home when our mom made the pookkalam. We had helped her with the flowers and the sadya, of course. Payasam, was my favourite.” Vidya will be seen next in “Aami,” the biopic of Madhavi Kutty alias Kamala Surayya.
