Malayalam Poet ONV Kurup Is No More!

The popular Malayalam poet, 'Onv Kurup' passed away today at a private hospital in Trivandrum.

He was 84 years old. He has written lyrics for many Malayalam films too.

Daahikunna Paanapaathram, Marubhumi, Neelakkannukal, Aksharam, Bhoomikku Oru Charama Geetham, Oru Thuli Vellicham, Bhairavante Thudi, Mayilpeeli and Sooryageetham are some of his poetic works.

Kurup is survived by his wife Sarojini and two children. He has a son Rajeevan and a daughter, Dr. Mayadevi. Kurup is the Jnanapith Award Winner for his literary works.

His death is a great loss to the Malayalam film industry. Our condolences to his family! Let the legend’s soul Rest In Peace!
