Jahnvi Kapoor Responds To The Hate Campaign Against Her For Param Sundari

Jahnvi Kapoor has finally responded to the excessive criticism around her character in Param Sundari.

In case you are not aware, a large section of the Malayalam film community has risen in arms against the alleged misrepresentation of Kerala in Hindi cinema, with the latest case being that of Param Sundari. Creators like Pavithra Menon had accused Jahnvi Kapoor and the makers of Param Sundari of insulting Kerala.

The romantic comedy stars Jahnvi Kapoor as T Sundari Pillai, a woman from Kerala who gets romantically involved with Param Sachdeva, a hardcore Punjabi guy from Delhi. The movie is the theatrical debut for actor turned filmmaker Tushar Jalota, who had previously directed Dasvi.

Jahnvi responded to the claims of misrepresentation, revealing that neither she is Malayali, nor her mother. She is only playing a character, and she hopes that people see her for her acting, rather than the unnecessary allegations.  Param Sundari will release in the theaters on August 29.
