She has been honored for her service to the film industry.
When asked about the honor moment for Bharathi, she says that she had never expected anything from the nation or the industry.
Bharathi states that she is very grateful to the government for the honorary award.
Bharathi also says that she dedicates her award to the entire film industry as each and everyone in the industry has a significant part in making a film and the stars, popular.
