Vijay Amritraj was an ace Indian Tennis player, who won many laurels for the country during the time he played international tournaments. The Padma Shri Awardee was attending an event of Grover Zampa Vineyards in the capital city, a few days ago. He was there to promote Vijay Amritraj Reserve, a collection of wines named after him. The collection is being taken out of the continent to different countries worldwide. As the Rio Olympics is approaching fast, the tennis legend was asked to comment on the Indian Tennis squad, which will be playing in the international sports event in August this year. To this, Vijay expressed his disappointment with the way the sport is progressing in the country. He believes that it is important for any tennis player to play and win the singles. Indians will not be playing singles this time, but Sania and Bopanna will play in the mixed doubles tournament, while Bopanna and
Leander Paes
will play the men's doubles.
