Udta Punjab Release Delayed!

“Udta Punjab” is about the drug addiction in Punjab. The film which was planned to be released this month has been delayed further. The CBFC has denied certifying the film and has suggested a lot of edits, despite the fact that the filmmakers have applied for Adult certification. Hansal Mehta and Ashok Pandit are the producers of Udta Punjab, which features Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead. The makers took their Twitter handle and expressed their displeasure on the delay of the film. The promotion of the film was released without any cuts and beeps and it was mentioned as adult certification. Now, the sudden change in the CBFC has created a controversy among the film fraternity. Earlier, the censor board certified “The Jungle Book” as U/A as it was too scary and the children should watch the film under adult supervision. When will this kind of controversies end?
