‘Tumbbad’ is now giving some serious competition to Tamil classic ‘Ghilli’.
Despite the re-release after 6 years, the film refuses to slow down in any aspect. The movie has earned a whopping 22.63 crores in its re release in less than two weeks, and it refuses to slow down.
This is way more than the initial cost of producing ‘Tumbbad’, which was made in just 5 crores. However, with the advent of the OTT, and the consistent word of mouth during the COVID-19 pandemic, ‘Tumbbad’ emerged as one of the greatest cult classics. This is why many people were more than excited when the makers announced a re-release on 13 September. Despite facing a movie like ‘Stree 2’, which continues to mint money more than a month after release, ‘Tumbbad’ has hit the jackpot, earning way more than its original worldwide collections!
