Jaideep Ahlawat Joins ‘The Family Man 3’?

Confused? After more than a decade, Jaideep Ahlawat and Manoj Bajpayee are reuniting for a project, only to face each other. According to the recent reports, Jaideep Ahlawat is the main antagonist for the third season of ‘The Family Man’.

The web series would be set in the North Eastern India, and is one of the very few projects from the Indian movie industry to be shot in Nagaland. As shown in the epilogue of the second season, the third season will revolve around the threats from the extremists backed by China, in the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Released in 2019, and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, ‘The Family Man’ has developed a cult legacy of its own. Starring Manoj Bajpayee as NIA agent Srikanth Tiwari, who heads the TASC cell, alongside Sharib Hashmi, who plays the role of JK Talpade, his best friend and colleague, the first season was well received by the Indian audience. The web series also stars Priyamani, Ashlesha Thakur, Vedant Sinha, Darshan Kumar, Dalip Tahil, Pawan Chopra etc. in key roles.

The second season was released in 2021, and marked the Hindi debut of Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a major movie / OTT project, her previous appearance being a small cameo in the 2012 movie ‘Ek Deewana Tha’. The season was equally successful, despite the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
